It’s About Time…..

I know that I haven’t been on here much.  I have made a few cards, but they haven’t made it to my blog yet!!  Here are the ONLY 3 Christmas cards I made this year.  Sad, I know.  We’ve had a lot going on (in all areas of life) and I just haven’t made stamping a priority at this time.  I am looking forward to getting back down to my craft area soon.  We are in the middle of a basement fix so that has put my stamping desires on hold!  Anyway…..even though Christmas is over….enjoy these 3 cards!!

This card and the snowman one to follow were both inspired by Dawn Giffith!  She is amazing and I loved the concepts!!

Until Next Time…..Happy Creating!!

I got a message from a friend asking if I could make her sister a Birthday card.  I said sure! I tried to gather a little info about her sister so I could come up with a design that she would like.  She said her sister liked PINK and was girly!  I could only hope to capture something that she would appreciate!

I started with CHF’s floral background stamp stamped with VersaMark ink.  I did add some glitter to that as well.  The stamp set is Out on a Limb by PTI!  The floral centers were created from Liquid Applique with glitter and heated with my heat gun to make them puff up!

Stamps:  PTI Out on a Limb

Paper: Black, White, Pink Passion

Ink: VersaMark, Pink Passion, Momento Black, River Rock

Accessories:  Glitter, Liquid Applique, Pearls, Dimensionals, Heat Gun, Corduroy Ribbon

Hope you have a fabulous day!

This is actually a card that I had started before we left on Spring Break.  So as I was assembling my cards that I started over spring break I finished this one off too.  This is made with one of my favorite SU! sets.

Coloring this tree was a little tricky.  SU! didn’t have marker sets for the previous In Color sets.  So, used my stamp pad and dabbed it onto the rubber where the leaves were.  Then I took a Q-tip and tried to “erase” the color off of the branches.  Then I used my chocolate chip SU! marker and colored the trunk and branches.

The butterflies were made from DP and punched with my Martha Stewart punches.

Stamps:  SU! Thoughts and Prayers

Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou, Wild Asparagus DP, White, SU! Celery DP

Ink:  Blue Bayou, Chocolate Chip

Accessories:  SU! Oval Punch, SU! Scalloped Oval Punch, Nestabilities circles and scalloped circles, Ribbon, Dew Drops, Dimensionals

Until Next Time….Happy Creating!

Surgery Tomorrow

Just a quick note to say that I won’t be posting for a little while. I was hoping to get one more thing made and posted before surgery but that didn’t happen. Too many bases to get covered! If you think of me, please say a little prayer. I’ll be in the hospital overnight but in bed for several days after. I should be online though since I’ll have my laptop upstairs with me! If you’re on Facebook, stop by and see if I’m on. I’d love a little company!!!

SC219 Simple Butterfly

I found some time today to make a card.  I had to make it in stages around my comings and goings but alas I was able to finish it!  This card is for this week’s sketch over at SCS!  Here is the sketch….

One of my new favorite stamp sets from the current SU! catalog is this one called Simple Friendship.   Butterflies are quite the thing right now and I think this one is very elegant!  I paired it with some GREAT new 12×12 DP from Stampin’ Up! called Parisian Breeze.  This paper is textured and gorgeous!  Here is my card for this sketch!

Stamps:  Simple Friendship

Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Baja Breeze, Parisian Breeze DP, White

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Soft Sky

Accessories:  Ribbon, dimensionals, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch

Until Next Time…..Happy Stamping!

This morning as I caught up on reading some of the blogs I subscribe to, I ran across this video by Patty Bennett of Patty’s Stampin’ Spot. I thought this was a great tip for using the 12×12 paper and the XL dies from Stampin’ Up! She got the idea from Lisa Freeman of Stamping With Lisa and then made it into a video!
