I’ve got to go tuck my kids into bed, so this one is going to be short and sweet. This is my card for the Featured Stamper Challenge this week over at SCS. I used the PaperTrey Ink stamp set called Butterfly Kisses and the SU! set called Sweet Serendipity. The DP paper is DCWV Nursery Prints. The colors I used are Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery, and Pretty In Pink.

Have to spend tomorrow packing the kids for camp. We’ll be heading to Iowa Friday to drop them off. I probably won’t be back on til Monday! Have a wonderful weekend!

I‘m finally getting caught up for the week.  It helps when you combine challenges to get them all in!  I very rarely accomplish every challenge of the week, but I try to do as many as I can.  My favorites are definitely the color challenge, the sketch challenge and the featured stamper of the week.  I try to get to the others if I have time.

Sharon and Vickie….I’m using some of my new paper that we found at the Scrapbook Page last Saturday!!  I decided that can’t hoard it forever.  I’m just glad I didn’t have to make a U turn to use it!!

For everyone else reading this, Sharon, Vickie and I had an adventure last weekend to find this so-called “incredible” scrapbook store.  It took us a while to get there, and afterwards, we decided it wasn’t really “incredible” after all!  I could list out all of the expenses to get there, but the time spent with friends was PRICELESS!!!  Too bad you weren’t with us, or you’d know what I mean!!!  I’ll give you one clue that I’m sure many of you can relate to…..NEVER TRUST MAPQUEST!!!  hee! hee! 🙂

This is the sketch for this week.  The color combo for this week was Chocolate Chip, Sage Shadow and Vanilla.

Stamps: Verve Visual– Anniversary Birds, Paper Trey Ink– Butterfly Kisses sentiment

Accessories: Brads, Ribbon, Nestabilities, Dimensionals

Until Next Time…..Try a SCS Challenge!

Since I haven’t had but a moment to stamp in the last couple of weeks, I decided today was going to be my play day!  Well….it’s always good to have a plan for the day, but that doesn’t mean that the plan will work.  I got through me email and all of the recent blog posts this morning and just as I was going to plan my creative time, a friend called and needed a babysitter while she sang at a funeral today.  So my creative time soon became being creative with a 1 year old!  I must admit, she’s a very fun 1 year old to play with too!  I had to run a few errands including delivering pizza to the school for the last label party!  She was a trooper, and all the teachers had fun playing with her!  Then we all went out for lunch when her parents got back.  That was fun too!  So now it’s after 2 and I have just an hour before picking the kids from school.  Tomorrow is their last day and they get out at 11:55 so they won’t be there long.  Just long enough to have all their yearbooks signed and play a game or two!
My sister and her kids are coming down tomorrow too!  They are staying for a week so there will be a lot of action around here!!
Here is the card that I finished between my morning duties and picking the kids up from school!

I chose to make this card for this week’s featured stamper Peanutbee and also for last week’s color challenge.  That color challenge was: Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, and Certainly Celery!  I also added Chocolate chip as my neutral color!  The stamp set if called Butterfly Kisses from Paper Trey Ink.

Until Next Time….Mail a card to a friend!!!

Here is my card for this week’s Sketch Challenge 176.

Amy R filled in for Roxi this week and did a great job!  I really like this sketch!  I think I say that about almost all of them!  There’s just something about having the sketch in front of you that creates a challenge all of it’s own.

The 3 images on the lower panel are all from some DP that I bought at Archiver’s a while back.  It’s almost like the whole sheet was full of postage stamps.  I just cut apart the ones I wanted and set it up!  The butterfly image is from the Touch of Nature set and the Fern is from Cornish Heritage Farms’ Nature Silhouettes set.  The sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink’s Mixed Messages set.

Until next time…Happy Creating!!!

This weekend my family came down to see us.  It was crazy busy but we had a great time.  Saturday started with a trip to Sam’s Club.  That took a while!!!  My parents don’t have one where they live so Dad wanted to check it ALL out!!  Mom brought a few "toys" with her so we could play, but that didn’t happen!  Saturday afternoon I had practice at the church for an upcoming family worship night so that took away that time.  Saturday evening came and went….making supper and kids taking showers, etc.  Sunday was church and lunch and then they had to head back home.  They have a 5 hour drive and they also had to take my sister to her house and get her settled back in.  It’s amazing how fast time flies when you’re already limited on time!!!  It still was a great time with them.  It’s been a year since they have been down to stay!!

As I’m typing this I noticed that one of those orange asian lady beetles is crawling on my card that I just made.  It seems to like the Stickles!  I’m not sure if it’s stuck or if it really enjoys eating glitter!!!  HA! HA!

Have A Wonderful Week!!!

Since I haven’t had much time to stamp lately. I’ve taken that time to CASE some of my favorites.  My stamping space is a complete disaster so it’s a little hard to get the creative juices flowing.  I do much better when my space is cleaned up!  Maybe I’ll get to that this week.  Since I hauled a bunch of my stuff to the church Friday night, it’s still in a tote and not put away!  I started this card over spring break but finished it last night.  I can’t haul everything I have everytime I leave, so sometimes I have to stamp in stages!!
This is made from one of my newer sets from Paper Trey Ink called Out On A Limb.  I LOVE how Nichole puts so much though into her stamp sets and because she is a stamper herself, knows what would be helpful!!

I really love these colors together!  This was a really easy card to make, but I love it’s simplicity, and its elegance all at the same time!

Supplies Used:

Stamps: PTI- Out On A Limb
Paper: River Rock. Cool Caribbean, White
Ink: River Rock, Cool Caribbean
Accessories: Flower Brads, River Rock Ribbon, Liquid Applique

Until Next Time….Take a moment to clean up your stamp space!! (maybe you don’t have that problem!!!  I sure do!)
