Archive for the ‘My Favorite Things’ Category

I knew I wouldn’t be getting much done this week as far as stamping. As I said in an earlier post, my sister and her kids are here for the week! We’ve had a great time, but not enough time for “playing” our style. She likes to make jewelry and of course I like to make cards!! The kids have been playing the Wii a lot but we still haven’t gotten much done! SO…because of my lack of playing, you get a 2 for 1 today!!

This first card was for the Featured Stamper challenge this week on SCS. This week was Maren/AKA mmbc. She has a fun gallery to look at! I just love this challenge gets me into galleries I wouldn’t normally have seen! There are, or course, just way to many galleries to view!!! Here is the card that I cased from her gallery.

This next card was made for this week’s color challenge. Emily posted a challenge that’s been done before, but that’s ok, cause we all need practice using some of these colors together!!!

The color combo was Blue Bayou, Soft Sky and Real Red! The stamps are called Making The Grade from Cornish Heritage Farms. I also used my SU! Spiral punch along the side.

Until Next Time…..Happy Stamping!!!

Here is my card for this week’s SCS Ways TO Use it Challenge.  This week was to use Embossing Powder.  I purchased the My Favorite Things set called Boho Blossoms a while ago, but hadn’t used it yet.  I thought this would be the perfect set to use for embossing!  I also had a scrap of DP that would go along with the same style.  This is what I came up with.

The red cardstock is from the Paper Company and is part of their Cool Metallics line.  It is called Ruby Jewel.  It has a beautiful metallic flake in it which makes this card even more beautiful to see in person.

Until Next Time…Happy Creating!!!
