After a long hiatus from the craft room, the sight of the mess was enough to keep me away!  There were many things that I had not found a place for after losing a couple of my cabinets.  I hadn’t really had the time to do a complete reorg of my craft space, so I just stayed away!  NOT ANY MORE!  During the last couple weeks I have been spending time reorganizing and trying to find a  place for everything.  Now that I can see my workspace again and my stamps are all organized and in one place, I’ve spent a little more time down there!  Here are the three cards that I put together yesterday afternoon!

I found this colored image while I was cleaning up!  I found it with my Copic Certification Certificate!  After looking at it a little closer I realized that it was an image I had used to play around with the Copic Airbrush System.  I wasn’t trying to color it perfectly, just horsing around really!  I almost threw it away, but thought it could be spared!  I can’t tell you which colors I used or any other information about the card other than it’s a Thomas Kinkade image from Cornish Heritage Farms.  I love this border punch from Martha Stewart and so I used that to frame in the image.  I added the ribbon and pearls for the embellishments.

These next couple of cards were made from one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! sets.  It’s called Thoughts and Prayers.

I have a couple of friends who are going through a really hard time right now.  One just  lost her husband and the other just lost her mom.  These cards are for those special friends!

I normally list out the items used.  I do not know the name of the DP I used this time, sorry!  I can tell you that the pink on the first and second card is Regal Rose and the accent color on the third one is Sage Shadow.  I used Chocolate Chip on both cards too!  It’s my absolute favorite color!!

Until Next Time…..Happy Stamping!!!

After I finished up several note cards, I dove into one more card!  I was looking for a vertical saying, but didn’t want to spend a lot of time digging through the many stamp sets to find one.  During my hunt I came across this Changito set and I decided to use the monkey!

I used the sketch from my new issue of PaperCrafts Magazine!  I recognized many names in there this month!! Congrats on all of you who were published!!!

Paper: Burgundy, BG Eskimo Kisses DP

Ink: Momento Black, Copic Markers (sorry I didn’t set them aside so I don’t know for sure which ones I used!)

After I got done with the Friendly Critters cards I had another sketch in mind for a Christmas card.  My daughter decided to join me in the card making process as well.  It was fun hanging out with her in the craft area, creating together!  Here is the quick Christmas card that I put together!

I’ve been pretty worn out, but doing well!  My house is a 2 story with 11-13 steps between each floor!  I’ve been getting pretty sick of the same 4 walls in my room, but my craft space is in the basement….2 floors down!  Besides the fatigue factor, I’ve had a lot of headaches from the medication that I’m on.  Headaches and stamping don’t really work well together!  I kind of thought I’d get a lot done during this time, but not so much!  Anyway, I decided the other night that as long as I was just sitting I could at least be coloring something!  I have several stamps that have yet to be used, and sometimes when you’re in the creating mood, you’re not necessarily in the mood to take the time to color!

Here are 2 of the images that I finished the other night and turned them into cards today!

This image is called Frosty Friends and it is from Tom Allen’s collection of Friendly Kritters from Cornish Heritage Farms!  I LOVE his images and am glad I took the time to color a few!!!   I added liquid applique to the “snow” areas and added some glitter to it while it was still wet.  Then I heat set it with my heat gun and watched it puff up!!

I colored this with my Copic Markers.  I used the following colors:

R59, B00, E31, E33, G05, C3, R20, O Blender

The cardstock colors are Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Pomegranate, White, Glorious Green

Accessories used:  Cuttlebug EF snowflakes, Nestabilities, dimensionals, Liquid Applique, Glitter, sponges

Here is the second image.  It’s called “O Christmas Cone.”   This design I kept rather simple and I love the look of the lattice die cut behind the image!  I also colored this with my Copic Markers.

Copic Marker #’s:  E51, E35, E02, RV10, E31, E29, R39, Y15, YG11

Accessories Used:  Nestabilites, SU Lattice Die Cut, Ribbon, Dimensionals

I’m so glad I finally got to create something!  I really have missed it and hope to keep the momentum going forward!

I first saw the post by Lori Craig about this year’s scripture challenge.  I didn’t get in on this last year even though I thought about it.  I decided to give it my best shot this year.  You can read up on the challenge over at Patter Cross’s blog Triple the Scraps!

Click here for the SCS forum post and HHN09 Gallery.

It brings me to tears when I stop to think about how much God loves us and how much he sacrificed for us.  I hope you take on this challenge with us this year.  I also pray that you will be blessed beyond measure as you study the attributes of God!

Inspire….

This is going to be short and sweet since I need to be showered and ready to go in 30 minutes!! After cleaning house all day (including kid’s rooms) I needed to make cards for our back to school night tonight. All stamped images are from Cornish Heritage Farms. The stars were made from my Stampin’ Up! small star punch!

Well, the time has come for me to play with my Elvis stamps. I’ve had so much fun seeing all of Lori’s creations. I suppose just because I’m not a hug Elvis fan, doesn’t mean that I can’t make them for someone who is!
