About a month ago I attended my first Copic workshop class at a LSS called The Scrapbook Page.  It is about 35 miles from my house and I don’t usually go there.  A friend of mine called and asked if I would like to take the class with her.  I thought it sounded like loads of fun and it would also get me using these markers I’ve been collecting but not really using.  I’ve taken the certification class, but haven’t been that confident in using them.  This class was definitely worth it!!!  Below are 2 of the images we colored that day.

This fall our family was hit with some shocking news.  My Dad had an accident at work that made him very sick.  He eventually had to go to the hospital.  After all of the tests and scans they found that he had cancer.  Imagine our surprise!  I know that many of you have had the same experience and the outcome was not well.  I am thankful that the cancer that my Dad has is Thyroid and one of the most treatable.  Below is the card that I made to send to him.

Until Next time…..HAPPY STAMPING!

Beate made a card like this a LONG while back!  I loved it and saved it for inspiration later!  I love the Damask stamp that is in this set.  It makes a fabulous background!

First I stamped the Damask stamp and then layered the Sanded Background stamp on top of that.  The two primas that are on the bottom are in the color that they came.  The top one was off white and I sprayed it with some of my Coffee Glitter Mist!  It colors it and gives it a little sparkle too!   The bird was colored in with my Copic markers.  Because I colored this on Spring Break, I did not get the numbers written down.  So sorry!

Stamps: SU! Friends 24-7

Paper:  Kraft, Artichoke, White

Ink: Artichoke, Momento Black

Accessories: Spellbinder’s Nestabilities circle and scalloped circle, Prima flowers, Tattered Angels Glitter Mist, Ribbon, MS Border Punch, Dimensionals

Have a great day being creative!

Here is another card that I made from my ODB On Eagle’s Wings set.  This would definitely be a CAS card.  Clean and Simple.  Not a whole lot of extras.

This is some more of that DP that I don’t know what it’s called.  I’m going to have to go look and see if I can find the name.  I will edit this if I can find the info I’m after!

Stamps: OBD- On Eagle’s Wings

Ink:  Chocolate Chip

Paper: Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, Vanilla, DP

Accessories:  SU! Border Punch (it’s new and I can’t remember the name), SU! Satin Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Brads

Happy Stamping!

I can’t seem to get away from this color combination!  There are slight variations from card to card, but they are real similar.  The colors consist of Chocolate Chip and Blue Bayou or Sage Shadow.  Sometimes I used Vanilla and sometimes white.  This card was made using some more of my Wild Asparagus paper!  I found it at Archiver’s one day and could have bought all they had!! I do love double sided DP cause it all matches so well, but sometimes I feel wasteful cause I’m covering up one pretty side for another!

The Bird image is from the Friends 24-7 set and the stamped frame and saying are from the Great Friend set.

Stamps:  SU! Friends 24-7, SU! Great Friend

Paper: Chocolate Chip, White, Blue Bayou, Wild Asparagus DP

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Accessories:  Spellbinder’s Nestabilities, Heart Shaped Brads, Flower build a brad, Ribbon, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a creative kind of day!

This is actually a card that I had started before we left on Spring Break.  So as I was assembling my cards that I started over spring break I finished this one off too.  This is made with one of my favorite SU! sets.

Coloring this tree was a little tricky.  SU! didn’t have marker sets for the previous In Color sets.  So, used my stamp pad and dabbed it onto the rubber where the leaves were.  Then I took a Q-tip and tried to “erase” the color off of the branches.  Then I used my chocolate chip SU! marker and colored the trunk and branches.

The butterflies were made from DP and punched with my Martha Stewart punches.

Stamps:  SU! Thoughts and Prayers

Paper:  Chocolate Chip, Blue Bayou, Wild Asparagus DP, White, SU! Celery DP

Ink:  Blue Bayou, Chocolate Chip

Accessories:  SU! Oval Punch, SU! Scalloped Oval Punch, Nestabilities circles and scalloped circles, Ribbon, Dew Drops, Dimensionals

Until Next Time….Happy Creating!

Over Spring Break we traveled back home to North Iowa and spent the week visiting friends and family.  One of those days was spent at home with my Mom and we tried to get a little creative!  I didn’t take a whole lot of stuff home because I knew it would be a busy week and didn’t know if we would have time to stamp or not.  I had many pieces and parts cut and assembled, but not a single card was finished!  Out of all the hundreds of stamps sets I have, I always seem to gravitate towards my Our Daily Bread Designs.  I think it must be that there are soooo many people hurting in this world and these stamps are so comforting to me.  Here is a card that I made with ODB On Eagle’s Wings set.

I am so terrible at paying attention to what all of my different DP’s are called!  If I can find out the name from some of my scraps, I will come back and edit this so you will know too!

Stamps:  OBD- On Eagle’s Wings

Paper: Very Vanilla, Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, DP

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Accessories:  Dew Drops, Ribbon, Scalloped Edge punch, Dimensionals

Until Next Time….Happy Stamping!

After a long hiatus from the craft room, the sight of the mess was enough to keep me away!  There were many things that I had not found a place for after losing a couple of my cabinets.  I hadn’t really had the time to do a complete reorg of my craft space, so I just stayed away!  NOT ANY MORE!  During the last couple weeks I have been spending time reorganizing and trying to find a  place for everything.  Now that I can see my workspace again and my stamps are all organized and in one place, I’ve spent a little more time down there!  Here are the three cards that I put together yesterday afternoon!

I found this colored image while I was cleaning up!  I found it with my Copic Certification Certificate!  After looking at it a little closer I realized that it was an image I had used to play around with the Copic Airbrush System.  I wasn’t trying to color it perfectly, just horsing around really!  I almost threw it away, but thought it could be spared!  I can’t tell you which colors I used or any other information about the card other than it’s a Thomas Kinkade image from Cornish Heritage Farms.  I love this border punch from Martha Stewart and so I used that to frame in the image.  I added the ribbon and pearls for the embellishments.

These next couple of cards were made from one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! sets.  It’s called Thoughts and Prayers.

I have a couple of friends who are going through a really hard time right now.  One just  lost her husband and the other just lost her mom.  These cards are for those special friends!

I normally list out the items used.  I do not know the name of the DP I used this time, sorry!  I can tell you that the pink on the first and second card is Regal Rose and the accent color on the third one is Sage Shadow.  I used Chocolate Chip on both cards too!  It’s my absolute favorite color!!

Until Next Time…..Happy Stamping!!!
