Here is is!  This round of Blog Candy includes 1. SU Hostess set titled Reason To Smile, 2. One set of clear stamps, 3. Spool of large sheer ribbon, 4. Spool of smaller sheer ribbon and 5. Hemp Cord

To enter to win, you must leave a comment here, and tell me about your favorite color combination to use.  It can be in scrapbooking or card making.

Create a card or layout with those colors and email me a copy!  I will post these popular color combos and the submissions to go with them!  It’s kind of a challenge and a giveaway all in one!

Your submissions need to be emailed to me by June 4th!  That gives you the weekend to work on them!  I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Putting together colors has been another one of my challenges in this hobby!  I’m not really the "creative type", but I’m great at CASING!  I haven’t done as much casing lately, as I’m getting better at putting things together on my own.  But that’s hard when you don’t have a creative brain!  I really enjoy the process of card making and find it relaxing, when I’m not in a RUT!  Well, right now I feel like I’m in a rut, so the color combos will be beneficial to me and when I post the submissions, I hope they will be beneficial to others as well!

Thank you, my faithful readers!  My goal for next week is to put together another tutorial from your suggestions offered previously!

Until Next Time….Happy Creating!!!

This card was made by Bonnie.  I love her color combo!  The red and black with the gray accent (or maybe silver) is beautiful!

This card was made by Diana.  I am not usually attracted to the Bold Brights, but I think this card is stunning!  I love the glitter accents.  That really makes the cake just POP!

If I had to take a stab at the colors used, I would guess:  YoYo Yellow, Real Red, and Tempting Turquoise.

This card was made by Kris.  I have received many cards from Kris and she always does an awesome job!  I always look forward to seeing what she has come up with next!!

Here is another card made by Kris!  It’s so Springy!  I thought it was cute that we have two cards made with the same flower stamp!

This card was made by Mary Ann.  She is a member of the Technique Junkies!  If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you need to check it out.  You can subscribe to the technique junkie newsletter that is full of ways to use all those supplies that you had to have and now they are  just sitting around!!  Check it out here!
You can also link to Pat’s homepage from the Technique Junkies Page.

Mary provided her recipe for us:
Stamps: SU Watercolor Garden, Fancy Flexible Phrases
Paper: SU Certainly Celery, Cameo Coral
Ink: SU Certainly Celery, Cameo Coral, Positively Pink
Techniques: TJ Reverse Grid and Glitter Straw
Accessories: Tag Punch, Ribbon, Spiral and Flower Clips (from Joann’s)

This card is stunning, Mary Ann!

This cute card was made by Mary C.  When I first saw it, it made me think of Easter.  Now, when I look at its softness, it would work so well as a baby card too!

Mindy, How beautiful!  When Mindy emailed me this card, she said she was frustrated with her camera because the colors are so off.  The colors she used are:  Bravo Burgundy, Mellow Moss and Vanilla. I originally thought that she used Elegant Eggplant.  So that would be another color combo you could use!  Thank you for sharing this card with us!

This card was submitted by Susanna.  I thought it was very cute and creative.  I always forget about those Alphabits stamps that I just had to have!! Black and Red look so great together.  Maybe that’s because Red and Black were my school colors!  Speaking of school…wouldn’t this make a great teacher thank you card?? Great Job!

This card was submitted by Tonilea.  She used the Unfrogettable stamp set.  She used Rose Red, Certainly Celery, White, and Barely Banana.  This was one of my favorite sets from the ’06 Spring Mini!  Boy was I glad when it made it into the Big catalog for the year!  It is definitely a favorite!  Thanks for participating Tonilea!

I am so glad you all participated in my first card challenge!  I can’t wait to do another one!  Keep watching for the details to come!

Until Next Time……Happy Creating!!!

My Card Challenge #1

**This post will stay at the top until Friday!**

I have decided that I would like to issue a card challenge to my blog readers!  My upline has been doing this with her downline and customers, but I’d like to issue my own challenge to you!
**Here’s how it works.  I will assign a layout for you to look at in the Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalog.
It’s the basic design that you are looking at.  You are free to use whatever colors or accessories you would like. You may even choose the stamps you would like to use.  I will set a deadline to have your samples submitted to me by and then I will post them here for all to see!  How’s that sound?!?!?

My first card challenge is on pg 28.  If you don’t have this catalog you can find it here!  (Make sure you zoom out so you can see the whole card.)  It is the Easter Blessings card made with the Never Ending Joy set.  Check out the layout of the card, come up with your own color combo and use whatever stamps you want and email it to me. (The point is to use the same layout, not the same stamps and colors!)  Click on the email me tab on the sidebar of my blog.  It’s under the about me tab.  The submission deadline is Friday, March 30th.   I will compile them on Saturday and try to get them posted.  If you have any questions, please email me!

*** I had someone who couldn’t get the email link to open so here is my email address:  mististamps4fun@gmail.com ***

I’m excited to see what you come up with.  Until Friday……Happy Creating!!
