I am so excited to be done with these boxes!  I made 21 of each for a total of 63 boxes.  I didn’t think I would ever get them done!  I made these to help decorate the tables for our church’s Christmas program.  We are having a dinner theater. I still need to add some ribbon around the necks, but I need to purchase some first!!

I really LOVE this box idea.  Thanks to Clarie from Waltzingmouse Makes! She has some great stuff on her blog! She is extremely talented!  If you are looking for this template you can find it on the right hand side of her blog.  Scroll down and you’ll see it!

I have to say that I think my all time favorite set from Stampin’ Up! has to be Lovely As A Tree.  It is so versatile.  I know I’ve said that before, but it’s still at the top of my list!  The DP is from the new SU! DP called Ski Slope.  The tree is stamped in white craft ink and embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  I had these little glittery flower/star/snowflake embellishments for a long time.  I thought they would go nice with this card!

Enjoy your day!

I made myself set aside some time today to stamp. I have been so busy, I just could justify stamping when other things needed to be done! Well, today that changed! I decided that I WAS going to stamp today. Here is what I made.

Basically these are the same card, I just changed up the embellishments. I embossed the trees with Iridescent Ice Embossing powder so they have a little bling to them! It’s hard to see in the photos though. I sponged the sky with Navy and Turquoise. All of this started with Shimmery White cardstock. You can’t see that sparkle on the photos either. The added snowflake on the last card was taken from another Christmas card that my Grandma had received. She pulled the snowflakes off and sent them to me because she thought I could use them. *They weren’t from a homemade card!* She wouldn’t take someone else’s homemade card apart! I just wanted to make that clear!!! Well, I definitely found a use for this one!

I hope you are enjoying the season. Love, laughter, family and friends, but the most important reason for the season….Jesus’ birth!

Merry Christmas!

This year for Christmas, I am making several gift jars.  Today I made 2 LARGE batches of my Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix.  I got several jars filled but only one decorated!  Hopefully the the rest will go much faster!

I used the Baking Ensemble from Just Rite Stamps for the jar lid.  The cup on the front is a retired set from SU! called What’s Brewin’.  I added the liquid applique for the melting marshmallows and some Stickles on the heart for some sparkle!

Here is my recipe for Homemade Hot Chocolate Mix

10 c. Instant Dry Milk
1lb container of Nestle Quick (equals 3 cups)
1 c. Powdered Sugar
11 oz. Dry Coffee Creamer (equals 3 cups)

Mix together and store in air tight container.  I use this recipe as a guide.  Sometimes people like it creamier or chocolaty, so they will adjust the measurements to suit their taste.  Feel free to add flavored creamers if you’d like!  The possiblilties are endless!  You can also add a candy cane for some minty chocolate goodness!!

Until Next Time….Happy Gift Giving!!!
