I guess I’ll share a card first and then if you want to catch up on what’s been going on this last week you can read below!!
This is a card that I started before we left town. It was going to be for the Featured Stamper Challenge 72 and also the Color Challenge 171. I did substitute River Rock for Kraft since I didn’t have any.
I stamped the main image onto Soft Sky with Craft Black and then embossed it with black embossing powder. Then I stamped the same image onto the River Rock with White Craft ink and embossed it with white embossing powder. I trimmed the images down to the sizes I needed.

Stamps: Fresh Cuts
Paper: Soft Sky, River Rock (instead of Kraft), White, Black
Ink: Craft White, Craft Black, Soft Sky, Black
Accessories: Black EP, White EP, Brads, Dimensionals

Family update…..
So much has happened in my family in the last week, I hardly know where to start. you obviously saw the post about my Aunt. We went to Rochester to be with her and came back home Saturday night. She seemed to be doing well at that point and we had to wait for the infection to clear up before they can implant another pacemaker. We are waiting to hear when that procedure will take place.

I haven’t been stamping much lately. Even yesterday I didn’t feel all that well, so I wasn’t on the computer at all. By the time I should have been making supper, I had this urge to make a card. When you are away from crafting for a while, it really is hard to get back to it. It’s all about the MOJO!! It’s hard to get that back sometimes!! I was looking to make something fairly simple. No coloring, no particular odd measurements, just a clean, crisp card! I think I got that accomplished and it didn’t take me long at all! That felt good!

This DP is some I picked up at the Scrapbook Page (remember the girls outing!!!). When I was cutting it, I realized that this stamp set comes with a stamp that looks a lot like this design. I think next time, I’ll create my own background and save the paper for something else!!!

All the images were cut out with my Nesabilities. A friend is borrowing my SU! scallop punch so I had to use something else!!! In the center of each medallion is a red gemstone brad. The red across the bottom is ribbon. The phrase came from the Sassy Stems stamp set.

It felt great to make something!!! Hope you are getting time in your craft space too!

FS71 Cupcake Obsession…

I’m behind again on the weekly challenges over at SCS.  They have updated the gallery and changed the format.  If you haven’t checked it out….go NOW!  It’s great that they are including other stamp companies besides Stampin’ Up!  There are just so many great stamp companies out there!!  This card is for the Featured Stampers challenge.  This week’s Featured Stamper is Denise…Denidill!

Cupcakes seem to be so popular right now and I didn’t a have a single cupcake stamp until this week.  This is a small set by Impression Obsession.
Also not long ago I ordered a few odds and end stamps from AMUSE.  I loved how people used the oval to make the images look like they are grounded and not floating through the air.  This was the first time I’d used them too. To finish off the cupcakes I added some Diamond Stickles for a little bling.  I also added some to the edging of the plate!

Have a wonderful Day!

It’s really a shame that I can start a project way ahead of time, but don’t get it finished until the last minute!  I have had 3/4 of this card done for quite a while, but hadn’t put it all together!  I did change the layout of this card from the previous ones I made, but seriously….I’m such a procrastinator!!! I loved the Friday Limited Supplies Challenge.  It was to use knots on your card.  It could be knot stamps or ribbon knots, etc.  Here is my last Father’s Day card….

All stamps are from Verve Visual.  The colors are Blue Bayou, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, and Old Olive.  The DP is from Basic Grey.  The word Dad and the verse are both up on Dimensionals.

Have a wonderful Father’s Day!  Hug Your Dad One Extra Time!!

This was my first attempt at using the new Fresh Cut Notes from Stampin’ Up!  The card didn’t turn out how I originally planned for it to, but oh well!  The color combo for this week was a tricky one!  Real Red, Regal Rose and So Saffron.  I have a really hard time putting pink and red together when it’s not Valentine’s Day!

I stamped the main image in Regal Rose, the background layer is the So Saffron stamped with the same ink. The black flower was stamped in black and cut out.  I added the red ribbon and added a red layer to the back side.  These are really cool little note cards.  I love how you can use the petals or remove them.  Don’t miss out on the chance to get them for only $5 when you order the Fresh Cuts stamps set too!

Until Next Time….Happy Stamping!!!

This card was made for the Ways To Use it Challenge on SCS.  This week’s challenge was to use a photo in your layout.  This card measures 5-1/2 sqaure.

I’m not sure if her mama checks my blog regularly (or maybe grandma too) so I need to get this card in the mail tomorrow!!!  This is a photo of my cousin’s little girl Crissy!  Isn’t she just the cutest thing ever!! I LOVE her big brown moon pie eyes!!  The stamps I used are from Cornish Heritage Farms.  I used the sets Beautiful and Time To Stamp.  I used my Sakura Stardust Gel Pen to go over the flowers and make them sparkle!

Enjoy Your Day!!
